Her writing on science and the environment appears in Harper\u2019s, National Geographic, The New York Times Magazine, Outside, and other national publications. Royte is\u00a0a frequent contributor to the New York Times Book Review, and a contributing editor at Smithsonian, OnEarth, and\u00a0the Food and Environment Reporting Network<\/a>. Her work is included in The Best American Science Writing and The Best American Essays (multiple years); The Dirt: Dispatches from the Front Lines of Food and Farming; the environmental omnibus Naked, and Outside Magazine\u2019s Why Moths Hate Thomas Edison.
