Turns out Sigg bottles DO contain BPA
Do you remember my post of July 24, on Sigg’s lack of transparency regarding its use or non-use of BPA? (That’s okay if you don’t; I just dug it up myself.) Turns out I, and many others, were right to be skeptical of the company’s cagey language. Check out this piece from Z Recommends on Sigg CEO Steve Wasik’s latest confession. It’s a long piece: the bottom line is that the bottles’ liners do contain BPA; Wasik says they don’t leach; but the company has reformulated the liners anyway so that they no longer contain any BPA. Am I feeling good about this company? No. Do I want replacement bottles for my old Siggs? I’m still thinking that over.
